Two women arrested after high-speed chase in Conroe

Authorities caught two women late Saturday after a silver Chevrolet pickup led state troopers and other law enforcement on a 28-mile high-speed chase along mostly back roads from eastern Conroe, to Cut and Shoot, to a roadblock on Texas 105. Montgomery County Police Reporter says in a detailed story on its website that the pursuit began about 10:30 p.m. when a state trooper tried to stop the pickup at South Loop 336 and FM 3083 on the eastern edge of Conroe.
