Suspicious test scores found in HISD, others nationwide

Student test scores at some Houston ISD campuses are so statistically unlikely that they could indicate cheating over the last several years, according to a national analysis that found similar suspicious patterns across the country. The Houston Independent School District, which has drawn national attention for tying teachers’ pay to standardized test scores, was one of nine urban districts highlighted for having the most improbable exam results based on large gains or declines. Dallas ISD also made the most-suspicious list.
