Deerbrook Mall has scheduled a lineup of holiday events and activities suitable for the whole family. "There will be instructors who will help everyone learn how to play the bells, and guests will learn and perform a holiday song," Deerbrook Mall Marketing Manager Mary Evans said. "Each little one who completes the tasks will receive an Elf Academy certificate signed by none other than Santa and that reindeer with the 'very shiny nose!' " Evans said. Shoppers are invited to bring their dogs and cats to the mall starting at 6 p.m. Monday nights through Dec. 17 to take a holiday photo with Santa - with or without the rest of the family. People bring little dogs, big dogs, fancy cats, house cats, even groups of dogs.
